I love the summer additions of cilantro and mint, and avocado creates a luscious texture. If you don’t happen to have grapes handy, try kiwi or honeydew melon in their place. A great summer drink that's cooling, clean and refreshing.

Creamy banana combines with tangy pineapple in this smoothie, creating an ideal refreshment on a hot summer afternoon. Kale adds a bit of bitter green, which helps cool the blood and soothe your mind on hot and muggy summer days. This simple Ayurvedic smoothie is from one of my favorite companies, Joyful Belly.

Out too late? Partied a little too hardy last night. This delicious blend features tons of hydrating foods to help get you back on your feet—including potassium-rich banana, cucumber, and coconut water. It also features some healthy fats in the form of creamy avocado to lift your energy levels, and plenty of leafy greens and lemons to help your body cleanse and detox. Nabbed this one from Chris Karr (crazy sexy juice) but added my own spin.
